• Develop clear homeland security priorities and strategies from the perspective of the private sector;
  
  
• Communicate those strategies to government entities;
  
  
• Promote private sector involvement in government decision-making with regard to implementing homeland security measures;
  
  
• Ensure that members receive, and exchange views on, the most current and relevant perspectives on critical homeland security issues;
  
  
• Provide a coordinated industry response to governmental proposals involving homeland security matters and a focused analysis of these governmental proposals; and
  
  
• Provide expert technical assistance to plan and implement appropriate facility plans, assessments and counter-measures to address eco-security, crisis management and homeland security concerns.
